Job Description:

Position – Quality Engineer (PQ/QS)
o Monitor Production Indicators (Scrap, Rework, Quality wall, COPQ), and Monitoring customer indicator
towards Customer Satisfaction in Customer Portals.
Qualification
o The ideal candidate will have been Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering
Essential responsibilities and duties
o The Engineer Quality (PQL Support) Responsible to provide offshore support to Program Quality Leader
on PMS deliverables and Plant quality Activities
o Perform PQL Support activities, listing of KPC/KCC, pre-processing of Control Plan, Gauge Readiness
Specification, Gauge R&R, Capability Studies etc, Additionally, pre-processing of DFMEA and PFMEA
based on inputs from PDL & PML upon request.
o The role of this PQL Engineer is to manage Program Quality documents for programs expected in the
AFO. He is responsible for the pre-processing and communication of the required documents in the
phase of Program Quality. In his role, he needs to respect in particular the FES-System (Faurecia
Excellence System) and the PMS-System (Faurecia Program Management).
o Responsible for execution and successful delivery of the projects, meeting customer's timeline and
quality requirements
o Listing of KPC / KCC in standard Faurecia format from inputs given by Product Quality Leaders, make
capability calculations based on measurement inputs given by Plant Production Team Leader and report
it out for Industrial Feasibility
o Preparation/Updation of Control Plan based on inputs provided from PQL/Program team
o Pre-processing of the Gauge Readiness Specification: Extract datums from the drawing, define list of
points to be controlled, identify inspection methods along with the gauges needed for the list of points
needing control, fill in administrative data.
o Preparation of Customer Specific documents (e.g.: SCAFF, Supplement K, PPIR)
o Promote lesson learned and best practice within the Program Team
o Report KPIs of work assigned and root causes of failures in a timely fashion
o Represents the Customer Voice within the company and ensure leadership when needed with the
customer and internally with the others functions on quality matters.
o Focus on specific critical items managed by other Program Core Team functions in order to ensure a
successful launch and customer satisfaction throughout all regions.
Required Technical Skills
o Good Knowledge on Engineering fundamentals (GD&T, Materials, Products & Manufacturing Process,
Measuring Instruments & Gauges and Welding techniques etc.)
o Basic Knowledge on APQP/PPAP requirements as per AIAG (FMEA, PFD, PV test & Results, SPC, Run
@Rate & PSW etc.)
o Good Knowledge on Quality Tools & Techniques (Quality Tools: Flow Charts, Cause and Effect Diagrams,
Pareto Chart, Check Sheet, Inspection & Bar Chart, Continuous Improvement Techniques: 5S, Poke-AYoke, Statistical tools (Mean, Mode, Standard Deviation, etc..), Root Cause Analysis(QRCI, 5Whys & 8D),
kaizen, Plan-do-check-act (PDCA))
o Knowledge on pre-processing of DFMEA and PFMEA based on inputs from PDL & PML
o Knowledge on Quality Standards and procedures (IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification, VDA &
AIAG)

Experience
o Minimum 1 to 3 years of proven experience in the Automotive industry.
o Minimum 1 year in Program Quality position with complex program (product diversity, several R&D
centres and Manufacturing sites) and QMS implementation

Skills and competencies
o Upgrading skills and competencies to meet customer requirements
o Participation in company employee involvement/Continuous Improvement activities
o Basic understanding of MS-Office (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
