Job Location:Chennai

REQUIREMENT

-6+ years minimum experience in product development required

Product design experience of Automotive or Industrial electro-mechanical systems/Products is preferred

Product design towards plastics and die cast parts is most preferrable

-Product design using CREO tool is must

-Previous experience in security access systems(automotive access products) is added advantage (like key fobs, start stop buttons, Steering wheels, HVAC, Infotainment modules, entry systems, body modules)

-High proficiency in English language is required.

-Perform complete full product design and development using CAD -CREO tool and take leadership towards project requirements gathering and understanding the scope of work, planning for mile stones, update customer on-time, deliver with quality outputs.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Must be able to conceptualize, sketch, model, assemble using CAD tools and able to design and develop electro-mechanical products, enclosures, A-class styling, mechanisms, Light pipes, Sealing features

-Must have the sound knowledge towards design of plastic injection and compression molding multi shot components, IMD or IML components, Laser etched or graphics printed keypad components and products

-Must have the ability to design die cast components with various protection coatings

-Must have the sound knowledge to understand and design for full product level of automotive or Industrial products

-Must have experience with design for manufacturability/assembly (mechanisms, metal stampings, Electroform logo aesthetic parts, painted/printed parts, coated parts, Metal Injection molding parts, Optics light pipe parts, Battery holding features, CNC parts, compression molded parts, etc)

-Must have very strong 3D modelling experience to design for complete product levels using (CREO, UG/NX) and experience with product database managements tools like Windchill

-Must have experience in designing functional snaps features, screws, assembly interlocking features, Water ingress sealing designs meet IPXX ratings

-Must be able to perform snap stress/ Bending moment deflection force calculations to improve design features

-Must have experience in performing pressure, area, flow, compression, density, deflection calculations on snap parts with different materials (metal, plastic, silicone, assemblies)

-Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

-Must have experience dimensioning and applying tolerances to components and assemblies

-Must have an advanced working knowledge of GD&T and able to review and correct detailed engineering drawings

-Must have experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
