Remastering is also known as Dump to Parametric conversion in which imported dead body model(.stp or iges) is reconstructed with new specification tree. It is also known as Reverse Engineering which is recreating design inspired by existing design.initial steps are followed with surface design from part modelling. We can develop solid and surfaces from neutral files imported into Catia. Dependency: The sketch which we make on dead solid should not be dependent on the dead solid which is provided. The main Parametric body should not be related to Dumb body. Approach: We used feature based modeling approach in this project and not Boolean or surface creation method. Rounds: We removed all the Edge fillets for this model made it simple model for work. types of approach used for assist with most of part modelling & surfacing in Catia.DEAD SOLID CONVERSION into parametric body i,e non-parametric to parametric.
