• Participate in engineering and manufacturing reviews to evaluate the design concept for cutting tool, fixture, gauge, material handling, SPM machines concept and make recommendations. • Work with engineering and manufacturing team to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs. • Design complex machine layouts and drawing from general written or verbal specification. • Produce Cad drawing for new improved tools and fixtures for departmental and discipline standards. • Work with project team to execute project on time and budget. • Read and understand the 2D and 3D drawings. • Providing alternative Design concepts for fixture and tool to meet customer quality standards. • Concept design & development of machining fixture. • Concept design & development special gauges. • Drafting of gauges, fixtures and material handling system. • Reduction of Quality process time by implementing online gauge system. • Concept design & development for post machining process like Marking, high flow Washing, Advance Leak testing cum laser marking machines and Assembly process like dowel pin pressing, 2Dbarcode systems. • Handled new product developments for the customers such as Cummins India, Hyundai, DAF, and Daimler. • Cost estimation for facility creation. • Integration of process to eliminate operator work content and fatigue. • Process capability proving as per customer requirement. • Improved productivity, quality & reduce manufacturing cost by machining cycle time reduction and mixed model cell. • Handling of CNC lathe & VMC machine. • Preparation of machining cell layout and man-machine chart.
