As in industry, I received class A surface of a car door’s plastic trims from aesthetic design team. My objective was to develop the class A surface received into manufacturable product design following the OEM design standards using CATIA V5 surface workbench. Various plastic door trims such as map pocket, armrest, a lower substrate, etc with attachment features were successfully developed by following the injection molding principles in this project. This project was a part of the 'Automotive plastic design using CATIA V5' course included in ' Post Graduate Certification in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Design & Analysis on Skill-Lync.
