Michelin Airless Tire is not supported by air pressure but rather a rib suspension system sort of like highly stiff rubber spocks. Its not only suspended the wheel from hitting the groung but also act as a mini shock absorber and because these tires are not filled with air they are not susceptible to punctures from either debris on the road such as nails or hitting patholes. The main benefits of these airless tire are they will not rupture or wear irregularly, they will never needed to be inflated or the air pressure maintained.
